Breach Attempts
Randomly between spins in the normal game, the lurking hacker may attempt to breach the slot system. The breach attempt can either be successful and trigger FREE SPINS or be diverted by the system’s defence.
The slot system has a finite capacity to divert breach attempts, and every 6th breach attempt is always successful. The progress bar above the reels tracks the number of breach attempts. When the bar’s 6 slots are full, FREE SPINS are triggered.
Even diverted attempts are strong enough to affect the reels and always result in one of the following feature hacks:
SYMBOL HACK – drops a random number of symbols of the same type anywhere on the reels.
MULTIPLIER HACK – activates ways multipliers of between x2 and x5 on random tile positions. Symbols that land on these positions then count as the same number of symbols as the multiplier displays.
WILD HACK – activate WILDS on random positions. WILDS cannot appear on the first and the last reels.
WILDS substitute for all paying symbols and count as the symbol which forms the longest winning combination on a single win way.
Breach
The slot system may fail to divert a breach attempt at any time and instantly give in to award 6 FREE SPINS. Additionally every 6th attempt is always successful and guarantees a bonus round.
At the start of FREE SPINS a random symbol is infected with the Hijack virus. Until the end of the bonus round every time this symbol appears anywhere on the reels it will be hijacked and stored above the reels. Up to 20 symbols may be hijacked in this manner.
During the bonus round any of the other feature hacks may also randomly occur. Only one feature may be triggered in a single spin.
If the infected symbol appears on a position with an activated ways multiplier the number of symbols hijacked from that position will be as many as the multiplier displays.
If WILDS appear anywhere they will also be hijacked.
Once 20 symbols have been gathered hijacking will stop activating even if more of the infected symbols or WILDS appear.
Randomly during the bonus round the FREE SPINS counter may glitch and increase with between 1 and 3 BONUS SPINS.
After the last FREE SPIN all hijacked symbols are placed on the reels, starting from the top row and from left to right.
The progress bar that tracks the breach attempts is reset after the bonus round has ended.
