About the Game
Common Draw Blackjack is a simple game but a wildly entertaining one, and NetEnt emphasises all its best features in this gaming experience. It retains the standard Blackjack rules. You play against the Dealer aiming to achieve a hand with a higher value than theirs, without going over 21 points (going ‘Bust’). You’re given 2 cards face-up to start with, and the dealer, likewise, starts with 2 (one face-up, one face-down). Based on these cards, you use your skill to determine whether it’s best to hit (ask for another card), stand (stop requesting cards), double (place an additional bet equal to your original bet, and then draw 1 additional card), split pairs (choose to play each of two equally-ranked cards separately), take an insurance (place a side bet when the dealer shows an ace), or surrender (abandon your hand and recover half your original bet).
Though many players will no doubt come to this game with a strong base of Blackjack knowledge, it’s designed to be undaunting for novices, and the interface not only looks classy and uncluttered, but is easy to navigate and understand. The Dealer’s Last Hands are displayed clearly in the top right-hand corner, and there’s a summary of your Bet, Win and Balance in the top left. Betting chips are prominent at the bottom of the screen, and there’s a ‘Mini Lobby’ pull out tab on the left that’s there if you need it, but doesn’t intrude on the action.
- Live Dealers – though you can’t see the names of your opponents or chat (which may not be a priority for all gamers anyway), the dealers are totally live. These experienced, elegantly-dressed and highly-skilled dealers will guide you through the game with a human touch and complete professionalism.
- High Definition – the quality of the image is stunning, and the setup of the frame, with the table directly in front of you and the dealer perfectly central, creates an intimate touch, and makes you feel like you’re really in the room with them.
- Assurance of a seat – you’ll never feel excluded, or have to wait around to join a game, with Common Draw Blackjack. There’s always a seat waiting for you!
You truly forget at times that you’re playing online, so immersive are the game’s features and real-time functions. This is sure to be a favourite of Blackjack fans seeking a live game and a realistic casino atmosphere.
